I Write Up

Up
I write up
The further down
The more up

Sadness is a murky pool
A quicksand mire
Wanting people
to remain there

Words shed flesh
I sat on the rings of Saturn
I rocket through that black hole
and come out a toaster

I lay in a field of flowers
God gave me a sandwich
I have good conversations with chipmunks
I fly backwards below flocks of swallows

I really dig angels
Every one is curly hair beautiful
Their smiles know no limitations
Every one is my girlfriend

I close my eyes to catch a last smile
There is no dark to remember
In an instant I surrender to love
I am with God forever
